Barbara Jean Shull, 84, of Tom, Oklahoma, passed away on September 26, 2017 at her home.  She was born July 28, 1933 in Greenville, Mississippi to Dennis and Margaret Sullivan.  She graduated high school in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

She met the love of her life, Edward “Pat” Shull and married him in 1953.  They raised their family in Grapevine, Texas where Barbara worked for 27 years at the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District.

Barbara loved her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren.  She was a member of the Church of Christ for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant sister.  She is loved and will forever be remembered by her husband, Edward “Pat” Shull of the home; children, Larry and wife Becky of Lake Village, Arkansas, Denny and wife Amber of Keller, Texas, and Sherry Hammit and husband Brad of Ivanhoe, Texas; two sisters; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM at Norwood-Nation Funeral Home in Idabel.  Services will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 2 PM at Norwood-Nation Funeral Home with Aubrey Thompson, preacher at Haworth Church of Christ officiating.  Interment will follow at the Tom Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the caregivers from Mays Home Health and Mays Hospice in her last days.
