Carol Hill, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at her home in Hochatown, Oklahoma.  For the last two years, Carol fought a courageous battle against ovarian cancer, and served as an inspiration to many people because of her positive attitude and her never diminishing faith. 

Carol was born on July 24, 1948, the youngest of four children born to Bill and Gladys Dollarhide.  She graduated from Idabel Gray High School in 1966 as Valedictorian of her class and attended Southeastern State in Durant, Oklahoma where she earned a degree in elementary education.

She married Howard Hill on April 6, 1968, in Calera, Oklahoma.  Carol and Howard later moved back to Idabel where they owned and operated Medical Center Pharmacy and raised their three sons.  Carol was a longtime member of the Bypass Church of Christ.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and son Christopher Michael Hill. 

She is survived by her husband Howard of the home, sons Charlie Hill of The Colony, Texas and Richard Hill and wife Rebecca of Keller, Texas; grandsons Drew Hill of Palestine, Texas and John Westbrook of Keller, Texas; granddaughters Claire and Genna Hill, both of Keller, Texas, and Beth McKitrick and husband Conner of Edmond, Oklahoma; great grandson James McKitrick of Keller, Texas; sisters Ginger Elder, Glenda Dollarhide, and Gail Stewart and husband Marvin, all of Idabel; sister-in-law Judy Hill of Idabel; nieces Deborah Scott of Idabel and Cathy Lightsey and husband Terry of Idabel; nephews, Earl Stewart and wife Mary Beth of Ketchikan, Alaska, David Stewart and wife Nancy of Valliant, Rickey Cox and wife Karen of Woodward, and James Stewart and wife Lynne of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, plus other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Family visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017, at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel located at 1201 East Lincoln Road in Idabel.  Carol’s celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Bypass Church of Christ in Idabel with Paul Castelman officiating. Interment will follow in the Denison Cemetery.
