Shirley Austin

Shirley Ruth Austin, 69 of Idabel, passed from this life February 28, 2024 in Idabel. She was born December 11, 1954 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Roy and Lorene (Hallum) Austin.

Shirley loved having company and feeding people. She would give a ride to anyone needing one, run errands for anyone, whatever the need. She had a group of friends that were all very close to one another. Her family was everything to her. She loved them with all her heart.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Becky Austin of Idabel; sisters and brothers-in-law; Carolyn and Dean Black of Paris, TX, Linda and Larry Tuck of Idabel; grandchildren, Chet Austin, Lance Owens, Brittney Owens; 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many special friends and family that will miss her dearly.

 A celebration of her life will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2024 at Bypass Church of Christ. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
