Dianna Powell

On Thursday, November 28, 2019, Dianna Powell passed away at the age of 54 surrounded lovingly by family in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Dianna was born in Idabel, Oklahoma to Charles Mussett Sr. and Virginia Gail Linehan Brewer. She earned a Bachelors degree in Education from Texas A&M Commerce. She taught many children over the years of various grades, including her youngest daughter. Nothing made her happier than running into past students and hearing of their achievements (only after she had fixed her makeup of course). When diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009 and colon cancer a year later, Dianna bravely fought and successfully maintained remission for almost 10 years.

Dianna loved and knew God. She always found comfort throughout her life knowing she was secure in her faith. She loved to read, spend time with her family, and always enjoyed the holidays. She will be remembered by many people for her silly sense of humor, her contagious laugh, her ability to persevere through any hardships thrown her way, and her love for her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Marshall Powell and his son Matt Powell, her daughters Starla (Shea) Goldade and husband Chancey, Candice (Shea) Corley and husband Chris, Heather (Lancaster) Young and husband Calvin, her grandchildren Leah Bell, Lauren Bell, Jaxon Young, and Sawyer Goldade. She is also survived by her father Charles Mussett Sr., her sisters Charla (Mussett) James and husband Thomas, Karen (Mussett) Espinoza and husband Mario, her brother Charles Mussett Jr., her niece Kaila (Johnson) Pitts and family, her younger nieces Chloe and Karleigh James, her nephew Cole Johnson, as well as her long-time friend and father of her children Derek Lancaster and many other loving family members and friends. She is preceded in death by many friends and family, including her mother Gail, grandmother Dorothy Linehan, and Uncle Roger Dale Linehan.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2019 in Idabel, Oklahoma at Clardy Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m.
