Peggy Dent, age 66, of Idabel, OK, passed away on July 31, 2017 in Paris, TX.  Peggy was born the daughter of Vincent Smith and Hettie Bachelor-Smith on November 29, 1950 in Hobart, OK. 

Peggy was a wonderful lady who has lived in McCurtain County most of her life.  She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Idabel, OK.  Peggy loved all kinds of animals and took pleasure in reading.  Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Peggy will be forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Vincent Smith and Hettie Bachelor-Smith. 

Her memory will be forever cherished by her husband, Bryan Dent of Idabel, OK; two sons, Nathanael (Nate) Barnhill of Logan, Utah, and Adam Barnhill of West Valley, Utah; three daughters, Sherry Jo Smith of Broken Bow, OK, Ann Smith of Hurricane, Utah, and Rebekah Barnhill of Salt Lake City, Utah; one brother, David Smith of Amarillo, TX; two sisters, Janis Balsters of Little Rock, AR, and Linda Rowe of Grand View, MO; four grandchildren, Michael Hutchinson, Vincent Hutchinson, Kiefer Stern and Anakin Kehl; along with many other relatives and friends.

*Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Idabel, OK at 5:00 p.m.   Followed by interment at Denison Cemetery.
