Alvin "Wayne" Loucks Obituary

Alvin Wayne Loucks, 57, of Haworth, passed from this life with his son by his side on November 20, 2021 in Tyler, TX. Wayne was born July 15, 1964, in Oklahoma City, to Alvin and Shirlene (Whiteman) Loucks.

Wayne had lived in McCurtain County most of his life. After graduating from Haworth High School, Wayne enlisted in the Air Force and later the Air National Guard. He was a Master Mason at Goodwater Masonic Lodge #148. Wayne enjoyed time spent being with his grandchildren, family, and friends. He was a great friend, his home was always the gathering place. Wayne was the one you called when you had a problem. He would help you out anyway he could.

Wayne was a hard worker and stayed busy. He could fix just about anything and outwork men half his age. When he wasn’t working enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening, smoking various meats on the smoker, and feeding his friends and family. If you left hungry, that was your own fault. He was particular about his garden and grew tons of vegetables and gave all of it to his friends, family, and neighbors.

Wayne married Janet McKee in 1986 in Vinita, OK, and spent 25 years together. After going their separate ways, they still remained close and would still eat dinner at each other's house, attend intimate family gatherings, and check on one another often.

His girlfriend, Cheryl Evans, held a special place in his heart. They’ve enjoyed traveling and spending time together. She looked after him and mostly kept him in line.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Katelyn Michelle; twin sisters, Connie and Ronnie; brother, Brandon; Father-in-Law, Kenny McKee; and several other family members and close friends.

Wayne is survived by Janet (McKee) Loucks, of Haworth; son, Tony and Marie Loucks, of Haworth; longtime bonus son, Robert Evans, Hawkins, Tx; sisters, Melissa Jackson, of Idabel, Annette and Troy Bullard, of Wilburton, Karen and Keith Donaldson, of Idabel, and Kristy Loucks, of Durant; grandchildren, Mae and Miles Loucks; girlfriend, Cheryl Evans, and special pal Tony Rebik, of Shinewell (you didn’t hardly see one without the other, seriously, they were like peas and carrots), along with many other friends; nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Deloise and Stan Pewitt, of Haworth; along with other relatives and many friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday at 2:00 PM at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel, Idabel, OK. Visitation will be Tuesday also at the chapel from 6:00-8:00PM.

A Masonic Service will take place at Redland Cemetery with military rites as well.
