Angus Ray Williston, 76 of Antlers, passed away January 8, 2021 at Paris, Texas. He was born February 7, 1944 at Idabel, Oklahoma, the son of Tobias and Rosa Williston. He married Beatrice Parker on December 20, 1970.
Angus was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. serving 2 terms in the Vietnam War before becoming disabled.
Angus loved his grandchildren and his family. His love spoke through his actions whether it was making custom shelves for his wife that she hadn’t asked for or just always making sure his family’s needs were met and spoiling his grandchildren. He loved spending time being outside, fishing and being a grandpa. He was always tinkering with something. His great sense of humor and generosity will be missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of fifty years, Beatrice Williston of Antlers; son, Lance Williston II of Antlers; daughters, Diana Williston of Antlers and Tiffaney Williston of Idabel; brother, Ben Williston of Idabel; sisters, Stella Williston, Martha Williston and Effielene Harley all of Idabel and Virginia Franklin of Battiest; grandchildren, Bradyn Batson, Blaze Batson, Kylee Williston, Emilee Williston, Khannor Williston, Milo Williston, Angus Williston II, Logun Williston, Grant Rethman, Tyler Bridges, Dustin Willis; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Angus was preceded in death by his parents; children, Lance Williston, Sharon Willis-Bridges, Ray Van Williston; brothers, John, Silas, LeRoy, Kenneth, James, William; sisters, Alline and Estherleene.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2021 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Tommy Wesley officiating. Interment will follow in the Canfield Cemetery.
A wake service will be held Thursday, January 14, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
