Arawaia Kakoroa, 58, passed away November 19, 2025. He was born October 24, 1967 to Kakoroa Iekima and Teaoua Bwenawa. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Arawaia enjoyed a simple, peaceful life. His favorite hobbies were fishing and creating content on his computer. He also liked to stop at the gas station for lottery tickets. Though very shy and quiet, he loved his family more than anything. He was known as an incredibly hard worker and a devoted husband and father.
On September 14, 1991, he married the love of his life, Temari Tiare Kakoroa at the Catholic Church in Kiribati Island.
He is survived by his wife, Temari Tiare Kakoroa; sons, Charlie Arawaia and Baitire Arawaia; daughters, Aramari Arawaia and Teretia Arawaia; numerous brothers and sisters; nieces and nephews, Jackie Dan, Linda Moarieta, Ana Moarieta, Maryann Moarieta, and Veronica Baraniko; three grandchildren, Alonzo Torres, Arnell Helem, and Rosemari Charlie; and a grandson on the way, along with a host of other family, friends, and loved ones.
A Celebration of Life graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Denison Cemetery with Father Steve Austin officiating.
