Bettye L Hill, 79, of Idabel, OK went home to be with the Lord on February 18, 2020. She was born on July 31, 1940 in DeQueen, Arkansas the daughter of Hershael and Virginia Brock.
Bettye was a graduate of Broken Bow High School and Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Bettye began her career as a teacher in California and later taught in Oklahoma. Bettye and Giles Hill were the owners of Southeast Tire Company which became SETCO solid tire.
A member of Trinity Baptist Church in Idabel, Oklahoma, Bettye served as Sunday School Teacher, various committees and a constant prayer warrior. She was a former board member for the Baptist Children’s Home. She began the annual Hero’s Brunch in the early 2000s which raises funds for the Baptist Home for Girls, Madill Campus.
She was preceded in death by her husband Giles Hill Jr., grandson Dylan Hill, and parents Hershael and Virginia Brock.
She is survived by her husband Thomas Sullens; daughter Becky Neal and husband Ron; son Buck Hill and wife Natalie; grandson Jake Neal and Fiancée Devon Anderson, Ada, OK; granddaughter Katie Neal, Edmond, OK; granddaughter Brennan Bayer and husband Mitchell; great-granddaughter Gigi Bayer; sister Marge Higginbotham, Bryant, AR; cousin Rob Norwood, Lago Vista, TX; several nieces and nephews; and her Trinity Baptist Church Family.
Her Life Celebration will be Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Trinity Baptist Church at 1:30 p.m. with Bro. Doug McClure and Bro. Don Myer officiating. Following the services there will be a gathering for friends and family at the Trinity Baptist gym.
