Blake "Bubba" Edwards

Blake “Bubba” Edwards, 33 of Idabel, entered his Savior’s home on August 28, 2019 at Bagwell, Texas.  He was born February 4, 1986 at Paris, Texas and graduated Valliant High School in 2004. He married Megan Fuller August 15, 2014 at Paris, Texas. 

Bubba never met a stranger.  He genuinely loved life and all who were in his life. He loved his family, his friends and Texas. He was a strong Christian man who enjoyed sharing the word with other people.  During his time spent living in Paris, he and Megan attended the Cowboy Church in the Camp at Reno, Texas. He was also an avid deer hunter. 

Bubba is survived by his wife, Megan Fuller Edwards; parents, Angie and Don Martin of DeKalb, Anthony Garrett of Valliant, Charlie and Marlo Edwards of Idabel;  sisters, Jordan Garrett Parsons and husband Jeremy of Idabel, Aspyn Linton and husband Robbie of Waldo, Arkansas, Destiny Peek of Enid, Oklahoma, Hollyn Allensworth and husband, Drew of Valliant; brother, Bayln Newsom of Valliant;  grandparents, Vonnie and Clyde Coleman of Paris, Johnny and Linda Garrett of Smithville, Sherry Taylor of Wright City, Judy Martin of Hooks, Janie Garrett of Ardmore; aunts, Rachel Sain and husband, Kevin, Casie Garrett, Felicia Phillips, Candice Garrett; special uncle, Chris Garrett; special niece, Jayla Parsons; mother-in-law, Brady Fuller of Idabel;  grandmother-in-law, Merry Fuller of Idabel; dogs, Nala and DJ; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. 

He was preceded in death by his papaw, Tony Garrett; grandpa, Ed Edwards; and his great-grandparents, William and Nettie Garrett, and Frank and Hazel Henry.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Idabel with Pastor Wade White officiating.  Interment will follow in the Canfield Cemetery.  

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 2, 2019 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
