Brenda Whiteman

Brenda Gail Whiteman, 63 of the Goodwater Community, passed away June 17, 2021 at her home.  She was born January 20, 1958, the daughter of Fred and Mary Stevens.  

A lover of the outdoors, Brenda enjoyed the simple things in life from fishing and bird watching to working outside in her yard.  She was fun and loved playing with her grandkids.  Family meant everything to her.  She also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino.

Brenda is survived by her sons and their spouses, Jeremy and Lydia Stevens of Camden, Arkansas, Roy Whiteman and Edi Flores of Goodwater, Kenneth W. and Tamara Whiteman of Abbeville, Louisiana, James White of Abbeville, Louisiana; daughter, Rebecca Saltzman of Abbeville, Louisiana; seventeen grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren (with one more on the way); numerous other relatives and a host of friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth D. Whiteman; and four sisters.

Family will receive friends Friday, June 18, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Clardy Funeral Service.  

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Don Myer officiating.  Interment will follow in the Redland Cemetery.
