Byron Glen “Butch” Curlee, husband, father, Poppa, of Byng, Oklahoma passed from this life on
June 12, 2024 at his home.
He was born May 22, 1948 in Ada, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife, Glynda Mullens
Curlee; children, Justin Curlee, Angela Curlee, Davin Walker, Kendra Frazier, Toni Farley;
grandchildren, Alicia Curlee, Dalton Cole, Shandon Farley, Shandi Farley, Dax Frazier; bonus
kids, Lisa Craig, Michael Hampton; numerous other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Vinita and Byron Curlee of Stratford,
Oklahoma and his brother, Edwin Curlee.
Glen was a lineman for PEC for 32 years, retiring in 2011. He was a decorated Vietnam
veteran. He served his country in the United States Army and achieved the rank of PFC(P)E3.
He loved riding dirt bikes, jeeps and fast cars. He also loved playing with his kids and
grandkids. Glen collected and worked on guns and loved finding treasures at thrift stores.
Glen was constantly thinking of others and helping anyone he could. He is loved and will be
dearly missed.
A celebration of life gathering will be hosted by family at a later date.
