Calvin Galloway, 88 of Tom, passed away May 10, 2019 at Idabel. He was born February 16, 1931 at Tom, Oklahoma the son of John D. and Birdie Jones Galloway. He married Eva Jean January 1, 1956. He was a member of the Tom Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army.
Calvin loved fishing the Red River, gardening and farming. He was a man of many words who enjoyed cutting up with family and friends. He was caring and generous and would give you the shirt off his back if you were in need.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny Galloway and Sharon Moore of Tom, Jerry and Kelly Galloway of Tom; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Mamie Galloway of Ashdown, Arkansas; sisters and brother-in-law, Rosa Lee Prescott of Ashdown, Arkansas, Carlene and Mike Severn of Ashdown, Arkansas; grandchildren, Matthew Galloway, Cydne Proctor, Jayce Galloway, Kayci Halcombe, Chani Bean; fourteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eva Jean Galloway; grandson, Dusty Galloway; brother, Willie D. Galloway and daughter-in-law, Jacki Galloway.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel in Idabel.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2019 at the Tom Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Galloway, Bro. Miles Wesner and Bro. Earl Baugh officiating. Interment will follow in the Tom Cemetery, Tom, Oklahoma.
