Chad Eric Austin was born April 13, 1987 at Paris, Texas, the son of Rick and Patricia Austin.
Chad was baptized at an early age. His father, a pastor, and later becoming a pastor himself, he enjoyed preaching and encouraging people in their faith and in life. He had a heart for people and was a natural born motivator and leader. Not only could you count on him in that moment, but he continued to reach out to people long after a need. He was an encourager, was non-judgmental and genuinely cared for people and their well-being.
An avid sports fan from an early age, Chad would dress for the occasion in whatever sport he watched on television, from Texas Rangers to Dallas Cowboys. It didn’t stop there. His cowboy outfits with holsters, Zorro capes and swords were fond memories his sisters will cherish that are sure to bring a smile. As an adult, he still loved watching Bonanza and Gunsmoke. He was a true cowboy at heart and loved to check his cows and work on the ranch.
A profound believer in education, Chad obtained his Master’s Degree. He coached sports at Idabel High School and later became the principal. He loved being an educator. His motivation and encouragement to students made an impact on each one he came in contact with. He treated them like his own and his door was always open to each and every one. Furthering his education, Chad became a license funeral professional. His care and compassion made him a blessing to the families he served. He most recently coached at North Lamar High School and had just taken a job as a principal.
Chad and Macey were married September 10, 2021. He was proud of his family, especially his girls. He bragged on them every chance he got. He spent his time being a good father and loving his girls. He took them on many adventures teaching them to hunt, fish, dance, show goats, ride horses and check cattle.
