Danny Raye Green

Danny “Butch” Green, 68 of Moon, passed away July 12, 2021 at Avinger, Texas. He was born November 26, 1952 at Tom, Oklahoma.  He had lived in the area all of his life and was affiliated with the Church of Christ at Haworth, Oklahoma. He married Vada England at Clarksville, Texas on September 7, 1972.

Butch was a fun loving person who loved to aggravate and pester people. He was goofy by nature and enjoyed making people laugh. He never met a stranger and could more often than not be found at the “Gator Stop” solving all the world’s problems with his closest friends. 

Butch enjoyed farming and working his cows, who his wife swears he liked more than her sometimes. He also enjoyed driving the truck for his son, mostly because that meant he could “shoot the bull” state to state. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Vada Green; children, Jason Green and wife Lisa of Foreman, Barbara Fegett of Moon and Chuck Fegett of Valliant, Eddie Webb of Texarkana, Texas, Joseph Webb and wife Amanda of Redland; grandchildren, Kolton Green, Raylie Green, Kaylee Fegett, Whitlee Fegett, Hayden Webb, Cloey Webb; brothers, Perry Pond and Irv Pond both of Tom; sister, Dianne “Ross” Fairless and husband Coy of Smithville; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.

Butch was preceded in death by his mother and father, Weedia Mae Pond and Glenn Pond; dad, Silas Green; sisters, Bonnie Green and Inez Lisenby.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2021 at the First Assembly of God Church in Haworth, Oklahoma with Pastor Audie Dawson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Tom Cemetery. 

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2021 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
