Davene Warren, 80 of Idabel, passed away February 7, 2018 at Plano, Texas. She was born August 22, 1937 at Idabel, the daughter of Julius and Charlene Womack Canant. She married Boyd Warren at Hugo, Oklahoma on April 27, 1954.
A devoted Christian, wife and mother, Davene was a lifelong active member of the Bypass Church of Christ. She loved her family and church family dearly. She was a caretaker to many, including caring for her parents until they passed away and for her special friend, Elaine Devore.
Known to many as “The Bread Lady,” she made bread every other day. She was an excellent baker as well. Her desserts were splendid.
She enjoyed her grandchildren and watching her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing and often made clothes for her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Boyd Warren of the home; daughters, Jana Ward of Texarkana, Arkansas and Cindy Mashburn and husband, Jeff of Katy, Texas; son, Clif Warren and wife, Kelli of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Davene Fecteau, Brandon Ward, Boone Mashburn and Bryce Warren; six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and her special church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Winfred Canant and son-in-law, Mike Ward.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2017 at the Bypass Church of Christ with Virgil Romine and Wayne Warren officiating. Interment will follow in the Denison Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
