Donna Mitchell

Donna K Mitchell, 56, of Idabel, passed peacefully with her loving family at her side on November 12, 2021, in Lewisville, TX.  She was born November 3, 1965, to Luther and Bertha Reid.

Donna had lived in McCurtain County most of her life.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her granddaughter, Kaley.  She was always known to have her hair and nails done.  She was a free spirit lady and very down to earth.  Donna enjoyed coloring, singing, and dancing.  She was an awesome mama and an even greater granny.

She married the love of her life, Fredrick Robert Mitchell, on January 17, 1986, in Dallas County.  They enjoyed watching television together and being ornery with one another.  Donna and Robert were married 31 years at his passing in 2017.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents, Luther and Bertha Reid; uncle, Luke Reid; aunt, Louella Reid; mother-in-law, Barbara Mitchell-Tolison; father-in-law, Milfred Mitchell; sister-in-law, Sharon Mitchell; nieces and nephews, George Smith, Jasmine Mitchell, Diane Mitchell, and Linda Flowers.

She is survived by Fredrick Robert “Bubba” Mitchell, of Idabel; Kim Mitchell, of Wright City; granddaughter, Kaley Ann “Bug” Mitchell; sisters and brothers-in-law, Denise Moore, Calvin Mitchell, and Mary Ellis, all of Wright City; half-brothers and sisters, Billy Clowers, Sue Passmore, Gary Clowers, Charlie Clowers, and Teresa Clowers; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, at 2:00 at the Green Chapel Assembly of God Church, in Herndon, with Pastor Lyn Gaskey officiating.  Burial will follow at Slater Memorial Cemetery, Wright City.

Visitation for Donna will be Sunday from 2-4PM at Clardy Funeral Service, Idabel.
