Edward “Pat” Shull, 92 of Tom passed away April 21, 2024. He was born March 17, 1932 in a
railroad car in Dallas County, the son of Herman “Neal” and Connie Shull.
A resident of Tom, Pat enjoyed hunting, target shooting and fishing. His church and family were most important to him, especially his favorites. He would tell everyone that they were his favorite and to never tell anyone. Pat loved visiting the ladies at the bank and always looked forward to seeing them every week. He had a great sense of humor, dry wit, and was a storyteller. He remembered everything about everyone and was a history buff. Listening to Pat’s stories was always a great time. He was a man who always supported his family and friends and had great advice to give. Pat was very proud to be the first Shull man to live pass seventy years old. One of his many great accomplishments was staying by his wife’s side while she was sick. He cared for her tirelessly and never complained. He was her only caretaker and was always there for her through thick and thin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman “Neal” Shull and Connie Tarver; and his wife, Barbara Shull.
He is survived by sons, Larry and Becky Shull of Lake Village, Arkansas, Dennis “Denny” and Amber Shull of Keller, Texas; daughter, Sherry Hammit of Ivanhoe, Texas; eight grandchildren;
sixteen great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends Friday, April 26, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2024 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel with Derick Pipes officiating. Interment will follow in the Tom
Cemetery.
