Elena Kaye Beard

Elena Kaye Beard, 64 of Idabel, passed away August 30, 2022.  She was born December 17, 1957 at Poplarville, Mississippi.   

Kaye lived in the area since the age of seventeen, coming from Mississippi.  She loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally.  She enjoyed cooking, watching soap operas, singing, decorating with the treasurers she collected and planting flowers. She never met a stranger and oh how she loved to talk!

She is survived by her husband, Randy Beard of the home; children, Steven Meier of Idabel, Kristy Storey and husband Phillip of Foley, Alabama, Misty Johnson of Lockesburg, Arkansas; bonus children, Ranson Beard and wife Gina, Jimmy Johnson, Chris Johnson, Billy Honey and wife Kerri, Chad Burleson, Gina Butler and husband, Mel; sister, Sally Ryals; brother, Joe Meier and wife, Terri; grandchildren, Austin Jordan, Tristan Meier, Dylan Johnson, Brady Jordan, Andrew Storey, Chase Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

Kaye was preceded in death by her grandparents who raised her, “mama” Elena Mae Cheatham and “dad” Robert Fornea; parents, Shirley Smith DeMayo and John Meier; and bonus daughter, Christa Beard.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2022 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.  

Family will receive friends Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
