Emmitt Stafford, 68 of Eagletown, passed away December 7, 2023 at Eagletown. Born to Tommie and Rozena Stafford on August 26, 1955 in Eagletown, Emmitt was a proud graduate of Eagletown High School. He embarked on a fulfilling career with Weyerhaeuser where he dedicated many years as a yard supervisor before his retirement.
Emmitt found his life partner in Mary Threadgill, and they united in marriage in Eagletown, Oklahoma in 1977.
A member of St. Paul Presbyterian Church from a young age, Emmitt's faith was a cornerstone of his life. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, carving and landscaping. He also found joy in playing dominoes and immersing himself in music.
Emmitt's loving spirit will be forever remembered by his wife of forty-six years, Mary Stafford of Eagletown; children, Lamont Threadgill of Eagletown, Luternia Threadgill of Broken Bow, Winnie Stafford of Eagletown; seven grandchildren, Camron, Montray, Alysia, Kiara, Parker, Devonte, Kelton; three great-grandchildren, Kadin, Khalil, Kayliana; siblings, Christine Williamson and husband James of Foreman, Clara Mae Williams of Columbus, Mississippi, Dorothy Fellows of Ozan, Arkansas, Johnnie Lou Stafford of Eagletown, Tommie Stafford and wife Daisy Lou of Tom, Gloria Hunt of Eagletown; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Tommie Stafford and Rozena Warner Stafford and cherished daughter,
Crissy Ann Stafford.
A homegoing celebration will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the Eagletown School
Gymnasium. Interment will follow in the Busy Bee Cemetery at Eagletown.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Friday, December 15, 2023 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
