Floyd D. Bryant, 84 of Idabel, passed away December 12, 2022 at Idabel. He was born October 22, 1938 in Garvin, Oklahoma, the son of Willie and Edna Bryant.
Floyd retired with over 40 years of service with Weyerhaeuser Company, beginning at Dierks, then at Wright City Lumber Mill before ending his career as a crew leader in the shipping department at the Valliant Paper Mill.
Floyd loved to hunt, fish and garden. In fact, he was a lover of the outdoors and just enjoyed being outside. He enjoyed cooking and he was good at it as well. He was a hard worker, kind, strong-willed and never met a stranger. He loved his family dearly. He was a great dad and grandpa.
He is survived by his wife, Reba Nell Bryant of the home; daughter, Tammy Blackard and husband Joey of Valliant; son, Kevin Bryant and wife Michele of Broken Bow; grandchildren, Collin Blackard, Garrett Blackard, Kristen Bryant, Rachel Bryant; sister, Tona Jo Bryant; numerous other relatives and friends, with special appreciation to Floyd’s caregivers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Benny Bryant and Larry Bryant; and sister, Mary Nell Lyons.
A celebration of life graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2022 at the Valliant Cemetery with Bro. Jason Clark officiating. Interment will follow.
Family will receive friends Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
