Floyd “Buck” Buckley, 73 of Idabel, passed away October 17, 2021 at the VA Medical Center in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was born December 29, 1947 the son of Floyd Ellyson and Dollie Irvin. He was a member of the Victory Life Church in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
He married Helen Gray on December 29, 1994.
A decorated Army Veteran, Buck served time in Korea and Germany, and served in the Vietnam War. He was very proud of his military history and very patriotic. He was honored for his service last year at Lukfata School and was very humbled by this honor.
Buck loved horses and going fishing and hunting. He was a gentle giant who was unselfish, kind-hearted, caring and never complained.
Buck is survived by his wife, Helen Buckley of the home; step-children, Carla and Mike Stauter of Idabel and Jimmy and Jane Peek of Idabel; grandchildren, Whitney and husband Tristan Brown, Lauren Peek, and Leah Peek; great-grandchildren, Stauter, Scarlet, Savannah, and Sophie Brown; numerous other relatives, church family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and two sisters.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Jeter officiating. Interment will follow in the Canfield Cemetery.
