Frances Ima Jean Williams

Frances Ima Jean Williams, age 90, left this world peacefully at her home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 26, 2020.  She was born March 14, 1930 in DeKalb, Texas to Floyd and Effie Dennington Merworth.  

Jean was meek, gentle and a loving and caring mother who was very proud of her six children and enjoyed helping them work doing whatever needed to be done. She loved working outside in her yard and keeping it in immaculate condition.  Up until a year ago, she was mowing and weed eating in her own yard. She was employed at Wal-Mart for over twenty years before retiring at age 79. 

Jean loved to travel and took her first flight at age 81 for a family vacation to Reno.  She loved music and concerts and was always sitting on “go”.

Jean is survived by her children Joe Williams, Sheila Carper and husband Estel, Billy Jack Williams, David Williams, John Williams and wife Sandra, Tina Davis and husband Dave; sisters, Marie McPhearson, Patsy Adcock, Sumei Hon Merworth, Linda Prichard; brothers, Floyd Merworth, Jr. and Donnie Merworth; twelve grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; fourteen great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, HG “Joe” Williams; daughter Larenda Lynn Williams; sisters, Bobbie Barnes and Johnnie Heiman; brother Harace Merworth; grandsons, Joc Bandy Singleton and Montana Williams.  

Jean was a member of the Lynn Lane Church of Christ in Idabel.  She was a faithful and loving Christian woman who loved her Lord.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., December 29, 2020 at the Garvin Cemetery in Garvin, Oklahoma with Tom Williams officiating.
