On September 22, 1982, a bundle of joy, Frank David Henderson, “Big Dooke” was born to Daisy Stafford and Jerry Lee Henderson of Tom, Oklahoma. Frank joined church at an early age and was a member of Community Missionary Baptist Church. He was recognized as a hero by the governor at the age of 5 when he rescued a cousin from drowning and was granted a trip to the state’s capitol for his heroism.
Frank graduated from Haworth High School in 2001. He enjoyed a life filled with family gatherings and enjoyed watching sports and spending time with his children.
He was preceded in death by children: a baby, David Henderson, his grandparents: Monroe and Luvenia Threadgill, John and Early Mae Henderson, and his father, Jerry L. Henderson.
Frank leaves to cherish his memory; fiancé, Kerrie Baker and their son, Kendrick Henderson; son, Elijah Henderson (Rodnesha Watson); mother and step-father, Daisy (Tommy) Stafford of Tom, Oklahoma; siblings, Tony (Natausha) Threadgill of Tom, Oklahoma, LaShone Threadgill of Idabel, Oklahoma, Melissa (Juanita) Threadgill of Lawrenceville, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, 1 great-aunt, 1 great-cousin, special friends, Michael Bailey and Edwin Compton, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday April, 3, 2021 at the Community Baptist Church in Tom, Oklahoma. Interment will follow in Alfred French Cemetery at Foreman, Arkansas.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 2, 2021 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
