Glen Nichols Obituary

Glen Nichols, 85, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020.  He was born June 19, 1935 in Goodland, Kansas to Solomon and Anna Nichols.

He enlisted in the United States Army in 1954 and served for six years.  He met his wife, Sue Graham Nichols in Garvin, Oklahoma on March 18, 1961. Together they had three children, David Nichols, Donnie Nichols and Anna (Nichols) Presley.   After leaving the Army, he hired on as a welder working on the construction of the Broken Bow Lake Dam.  Later he and his family moved to Texas to start his lifelong career as a rancher.  He thoroughly enjoyed working cattle, farming, hunting, eating ice cream and wouldn’t miss the opportunity to watch his grandkids play ball.   His great sense of humor will be missed.

He is preceded in death by both parents; sister, Donna Nichols; brother, Wayne Nichols; and great-grandson, Jeff Nichols.

Glen is survived by his wife, Sue Nichols of Clarksville, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Debbie Nichols of Garvin, Oklahoma, Donnie and Angie Nichols of Clarksville, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Jimmy Presley of Manchester, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Detta and Clark Rich of Virginia; numerous grandkids, great-grandkids, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Russell McDaniel officiating.  Interment will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery in the Forest Grove Community.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2020 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
