Glenn Michael “Mike” Johnson, 61 of Idabel passed away November 14, 2024. He was born
May 1, 1963 at DeQueen, Arkansas to Melba and Everett Johnson, Sr.
Mike graduated from High School in Allen, Texas and shortly thereafter began working for B & S
Construction. He was an excellent carpenter. His passion for woodworking reflected his
dedication to craftsmanship and was evident as he later was instrumental in building the First
Baptist Church at Haworth, Oklahoma. He enjoyed wood working, was passionate about fishing
and enjoyed reading.
A fun-loving free spirit, Mike loved his family dearly, especially his daughter and grandson.
Mike's kind heart was evident in the way he embraced everyone he met, always ready with a
smile or a helping hand. He enjoyed the company of his best friend, his dog Bo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Johnson, Sr. and his grandparents.
Mike is survived by his mother, Melba Johnson; daughter, Ashley Johnson and Sedric Raines;
grandson, Haidon Mullens; brother, Rhett Johnson and wife Rhonda; nieces, Brittany, Crystal,
Rachel; aunt, Reta Bolen; numerous other relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at the Denison
Cemetery Pavilion just prior to the funeral service.
A celebration of life graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at
the Denison Cemetery Pavilion with Bro. Richard Sullivant officiating. Interment will follow.
