Hallee Deramus Obituary

Hallee Erin Deramus, 47, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025, in Houston, Texas. She
was born on June 30, 1978, to George and Roxy (Hamilton) Eddington. Hallee was preceded in
death by her parents; her grandfather, Howard Samuel Hamilton; and her grandmother, Gladys
Marie Hamilton.
Hallee grew up with a love for creativity, family, and life’s simple joys. She worked as an
Advertising Specialist for the local newspaper, where her eye for detail, artistic touch, and
genuine personality shone through in everything she did.
Hallee’s heart belonged to her family. She loved spending time with her husband and children
more than anything. She was her children’s biggest supporter, cheering her daughter on through
every dance performance and proudly watching her son play golf. She also loved watching sports
like baseball and softball.
A woman of many talents, Hallee enjoyed arts and crafts, decorating and remodeling her home,
cooking, baking, riding horses, and planting flowers. She had a natural gift for making any space
feel warm and inviting. Her creativity and hands-on nature extended into every part of her life.
Those who knew Hallee will remember her for her honesty, strength, and fierce love for her
family. She was a “what you see is what you get” kind of person, genuine, loyal, and full of
heart. She faced life’s challenges with incredible courage and determination, never giving up no
matter how hard the battle. One of the things she cherished most about being part of the Deramus
family was how close they were.
Hallee is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Deramus Jr.; son, Ronald Deramus III;
daughter, Laney Deramus; uncle and aunt, Hal and Nancy Hamilton; father-in-law and mother-
in-law, Ron and Cinderella Deramus; brothers-in-law, Paul Deramus and Chad Deramus; and
sister-in-law, Rhonda Sargent; extended family, Eric, Tara, Bryce, Zoe and Tate Nuber;
numerous other relatives and her dance family.
The family will host a private gathering at a later date to celebrate Hallee’s life and the lasting
impact she made on all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to McCurtain
County Treasured Chests, 123 Huntington Circle, Idabel, Oklahoma.
