James Akin

James Clarence Akin, 64 of Idabel, passed away June 4, 2021 at Idabel, Oklahoma.  He was born August 31, 1956, the son of Clarence and Thelma Akin. 

James loved his family and his dogs.  He was funny and caring and loved to be “on the go”.   He also enjoyed eating out.

James leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Leola Akin; sons, Brian Akin, Johnathan Akin, Donnie Mackenzie, Anthony Akin; the daughter he never had, Jennifer Holmes; brother, Steve Akin; sisters, Henrietta Burnette, Ollie Williams; brother-in-law, Carol David Blevins; sister-in-law, Ruth Ragsdale; eight granddaughters and one grandson, Ella, Cuca, Nina, Hannah, Holly, Zayden, Zoey, Sana, Cheyanne; niece Myia Fleming; numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June, 19, 2021 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
