James "Jim" Milwee Obituary

James “Jim” Milwee, 75 of Idabel, passed away January 17, 2022 at his home.  He was born December 30, 1946 at Boaz, Alabama, the son of Odis and Zera Cornelius Milwee. He married Carol on May 14, 2011 at Idabel.

A devoted Christian, Jim was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Idabel.  He enjoyed cooking the Brotherhood Breakfast and attended every Bible Study.  He lived by the scripture of the Bible and enjoyed reading the Bible.  He loved God, his country, his wife and his family.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He proudly served his country and was very patriotic.

Jim was a very likeable person. He was caring and humble. He was generous with his time and money.  He could do anything and asked nothing in return.  

Jim is survived by his wife, Carol Milwee; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Pam Milwee of Attala, Alabama; daughter, Yulane May of Gadsden, Alabama; granddaughters, Hannah Legg, Erin Mims, Izabella “Izy” May; great-grandsons, Waylon Mims and Elliott Mims; sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Richard Whitehead of Alabama; Carol’s children who he loved as his own, Shelly and Rocky Randoph, Brandon and Brittany Gates, Lindsey and Steven Shelton; grandchildren, Emma Blalock, Jack Blalock, Rylee Randolph, Jace Gates, Aiden Gates, Brandon Gates, Jr., Tristan Gates, Asher Speligene, Maddy Shelton, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Bill Milwee and Bob Milwee.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Idabel with Dr. Andy Bowman and Bro. Bob O’Neill officiating. Interment will be in Sardis, Alabama.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
