James Kenneth “Ken” DeLozier, 81 of the Pleasant Hill Community, passed away August 2, 2023. He was
born October 3, 1941 at Phoenix, Arizona, the son of Charles and Emily James DeLozier.
Ken spent most of his lifetime in the log woods. He grew up in Phoenix but he and his family moved to
California in the early seventies to log the Redwoods. After, they returned to Phoenix for a short time
before moving to Oklahoma where his mom was from. He thoroughly enjoyed the log woods and
worked until the nineties. Quintus Herron declared him to be the hardest working man he knew, as
often times, he would get on the equipment and load his own load if no one was there to load him. He
could run all the equipment in the woods. He was known by many as “Lumberjack” and also “King of
the road” due to his driving record of no accidents. He enjoyed visiting with people on his stops,
enjoyed cooking and smoking meat. He loved his pets and was most fond of his great-grandbabies who
brought him so much joy.
Ken is survived by his wife, Donna DeLozier; daughters, Janice Price and husband Kenny, Sheri Trujillo
and husband Stephen; grandchildren, Kenneth Price Jr. and wife Monica, Kyle Price and wife Cambry,
Taylor Trujillo, Lauren Trujillo; great-grandchildren, Evangeline “Lainey” Price, Judah Price; special
friends, Ralph Harrison; numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Henry Beam, Mattie Beam, Troy Beam, Mildred Hale,
Grace Bushong and Ray DeLozier.
A celebration of life graveside service will be held Tuesday, August, 8, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at the Haworth Cemetery with Janice Price officiating. Interment will follow.
Family will receive friends Monday, August 7, 2023 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Clardy Funeral Service
Chapel.
