James Marton Hill

James Marton Hill, 77, of Idabel, Oklahoma, passed away on February 8, 2025. He was born on April
11, 1947, in Garvin, Oklahoma, to John Alton Hill and Emma Mae (McGowen) Hill. James was
preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Carl Hill, Leon Hill, John L. Hill, Junior Hill; son-in-laws, Henry Satterfield, Steve Norris.
James had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tending to his garden.
One of his greatest pleasures was mowing his yard, a task that brought him immense satisfaction.
He also had a fondness for western movies, which he loved watching in his spare time.
James moved back to the community in 1976, after living in Ashdown, Arkansas. He took great
joy in visiting friends, family, and neighbors, always bringing a smile to their faces. His kindness
and genuine interest in others left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
On December 3, 1999, James married Lola Hill in DeQueen, Arkansas, and together they built a
life filled with love and cherished memories.
He is survived by his wife, Lola Hill; daughters, Jamie Norris and partner Johnny Raymond,
Patricia Frady and husband Bobby Ray Frady, and Peggy Satterfield; son, Lester Grant; sisters,
Emma Jane Latimer and husband Jacob; grandchildren, DJ Wright, Rocky Grant, Trae
Satterfield, Steven Norris Jr., James Frady, Lizzy Norris, and Emmalee Frady; great-
grandchildren, Kai Satterfield and Nikko Satterfield; along with a host of other family, friends,
and loved ones.
James will be remembered for his kind heart, his love for his family, and his dedication to the
things that brought him joy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Clardy Funeral
Service Chapel. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2025
at Clardy Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
