James "Ronnie" Minton

James Ronnie Minton, 64 of Idabel, passed away May 22, 2019. He was born March 19, 1955 at Stillwater, OK, the son of James and Lorene (Coffman) Minton.

Ronnie grew up a farm kid. He enjoyed hunting and he loved to fish on Pine Creek, Hugo and his favorite, Millwood Lake.  He liked dirt bikes, fast cars, racing and rock & roll music. He was known for his caring nature, picking on his mother, cutting-up and making everyone laugh.

Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory his son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Cassie Minton of Blanchard, OK; daughter and son-in-law, Lorenda and Brad Shaw of Idabel; brothers & sisters-in-law, Junior and Debbie Minyard of Valliant; Danny and Cheryl Holbert of Garvin; Jerry Minyard of Dekalb, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Billy Snider of Idabel; grandchildren Bryce, Breanna, and Samantha Shaw, and Grace, Andrew, and Madelyn Minton; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorene Holbert, and his brother, Travis Minyard.

A celebration of life funeral service will be held May 28, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel with Dustin Minton and Brad Snider officiating.  Visitation will be Monday, May 27, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
