Jammie Whaley

Jammie (Southard) Whaley, 78, of Griffithville, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2025. She was born August 14, 1947, in Searcy, Arkansas, to James Burl Southard and Evelyn (Bailey) Southard.
Jammie was a woman of remarkable strength and compassion, tender-hearted yet tough as nails, a trait admired by all who knew her. She found joy in the quiet comforts of life, spending her time reading, crocheting, knitting, and creating meals that brought her family together. Her hands were rarely still, and her heart was always open.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Larry Havener.
She leaves behind her sisters: Debbie Havener of Griffithville, Arkansas; Jackie English and husband Lareece of Searcy, Arkansas; Freddie Whaley and husband Terry of Griffithville, Arkansas; and Candi Deen and husband Randy of Searcy, Arkansas. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Janis Lancaster of Idabel, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews, Joshua Havener and wife Becky of Griffithville, Arkansas, Matthew Havener of Griffithville, Arkansas, Brittany Martin and husband Jason of Cave Springs, Arkansas, Ryan Whaley and husband Stephanie of Griffithville, Arkansas, Courtney Bright and husband Wesley of Griffithville, Arkansas, Ashley Deen of Springhill, Tennesee, Jameson Deen and wife Amanda of Texarkana, Arkansas, Kelli Deen of Searcy, Arkansas, Greg Lancaster and wife Pattie of Idabel, Oklahoma, Michael Lancaster and wife Audra of Abbieville, Alabama; great-nieces and great-nephews, Macie Lancaster of Greenville, Texas, Abbie Albrecht, husband Blaine and their daughter, Parker of Caddo Mills, Texas, Bryce Lancaster and wife Rachel of Prosper, Texas, Paige Lancaster of Abbieville, Alabama, Jacee Beeland,  husband James, and their children Marilyn Rae and Maverick of Perry, Georgia; along with a host of extended family members, and dear loved ones.
Jammie was further cherished by her special friends, including Janet Henderson, Carla Mitchell, Kala Green, Michelle Hisaw, Faye Owens, Blue Stanley, and many others who held a meaningful place in her life.
Visitation will be held from 2:00–4:00 P.M., Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Clardy Funeral Service Chapel. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Dogwood Cemetery in Griffithville, Arkansas. Interment will follow.
