Carol Jane Wake-Chapman, 73 of the Forest Grove Community, passed away August 19, 2019 at Paris, Texas. She was born March 11, 1946 at Memphis, Texas, the daughter of James Isaac and Lorraine Watson Barrett. She married Roger “Bud” Wake and the two had children, Wendy and Jimmy.
Jane loved to socialize. She was a hairdresser for over twenty-six years, then retired from provider care in Dallas. One of Jane’s greatest accomplishments was her grandchildren. She followed them from rodeos to basketball and baseball. She was their biggest fan, no matter the event.
Jane married Johnny Chapman at “The Church” at Millerton on September 6, 2018.
Jane leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Johnny Chapman of the home; daughter, Wendy Jenkins and husband Leslie of the Forest Grove Community; son, Jimmy Wake and wife Vanessa of the Forest Grove Community; grandsons, Bryar Jenkins, Cutter Wake and Sody Wake; furbabies, Okie and Molly; sister-in-law, Cheryl Kay Martin and husband, Dwight of Idabel; brother-in-law, Virgil Wake and wife, Margie of Idabel; special friend, Frances King; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death her parents; first husband, Roger “Bud” Wake; sister, Jaime Ann Barrett.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at the Forest Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Brent Coffey officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
