Jason Lloyd Blalock
September 13, 1976 ~ November 30, 2023 (age 47) 47 Years Old
Jason Blalock, 47, passed away November 30, 2023 at Idabel. He was born September 13, 1976 at Marathon, Florida, the son of Betty Sue and Dennis Blalock. His parents moved to the area when he was just a baby and Idabel became his home.
Jason graduated from Idabel High School. He was a member of the Idabel Warriors basketball team and developed a love for basketball that carried throughout his life. During his years at school, he formed many friendships, some of which he maintained for 30 years or more. He worked various jobs throughout his life, but most recently he was employed doing construction.
Jason accomplished things that this world struggles with every day, like looking past outward appearance, social status, failures, successes, accomplishments and the color of your skin. He didn’t care how little or how much you had. He was going to love you and treat you the same. He only saw the heart of people. That’s how he measured success.
Jason’s greatest love in life was his son, Jaylon. His eye would light up at just the mention of his name. If you were involved in a conversation with him, you could bet that at some point he was going to work Jaylon into it. He was going to make sure you knew how proud he was of his son.
Jason is survived by his son, Jaylon Blalock and Lexi of Idabel; brother, Shawn Blalock and wife, Brandy of Nashoba, Oklahoma; mother of his son, Wendy England of Idabel; uncle, Bo Blalock of Haworth; aunt, Sissy Blalock of Haworth; other aunts and uncles, Pat Boggess and husband Ronnie of Homestead, Florida, Tom Richards of Marathon, Florida, Jimmy Aultman of Marathon, Florida; close friends, Jack Hodge and Danny Jordan; one niece, one nephew, and numerous cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Sue Blalock and Dennis Alvin Blalock; daughter, Olivia Grace; fraternal grandparents, Lloyd and Venita Blalock; maternal grandparents, Warren and Pansy Aultman; uncles, Ben Blalock and Clay Blalock; aunt, Jo Ann Richards.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2023 at the Denison Cemetery pavilion with TJ Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in the Denison Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
