Jerry W. Tunnell, 71, of Idabel, passed from this life Thursday, September 2, 2021 in Paris, TX. Jerry was born in Idabel, to Oscar and Lillian (Proctor) Tunnell, on January 24, 1950.
Jerry had lived in McCurtain County all of his 71 years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, and fishing. He could always be found mowing the dam at Pine Creek Lake. Jerry was known as a worker to most, either at the sawmill or doing leather work.
Jerry married the love of his life, Debra Little, in 1989, in Bogata, TX. They enjoyed being camp hosts together at Pine Creek Lake.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Lillian Tunnell; and a brother, W.D. Tunnell.
Jerry leaves to cherish his memory to his wife, Debra, of Idabel; daughters, Tonya Sivard, and Robert Wall, of Shinewell, Ginger Cooler, and Danny, of Tom, and Melissa Tunnell, of Tom; sons, Jacob Tunnell, and Misty, of Broken Bow, and Titus Horn, and Mackenzie, of Tom; brothers, Jim Tunnell, and Sally, of America, OK, and Gerald Tunnell, and Georgie, of America, OK; grandchildren, Katelynn Lewis, and Justin, Trace Sivard, Blakeleigh Sivard, Baeleigh Sivard, Gus Horn, Will Horn, Saige Horn, Jacob and Michael Tunnell; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Kenneth Alford, of Moon, OK; along with other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, September 9, 2021, at 11AM, at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel, Idabel, with Kenneth Alford and Johnny Wade Proctor speaking. Burial will follow at Bokhoma Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 5-7PM also at the chapel.
