Jerry Ezekiel Cooper, age 71, a resident of Idabel, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023 at his home.
He was born February 21, 1952 in Casa Grande, Arizona to Don Ezekiel and Pearlie Mae Dye Cooper. Jerry was retired from D & E Railroad having completed 41 years of service. He enjoyed watching football games and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Roy Dean Cooper and one great-grandchild, Jettson Matthew Peace.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sue McPeak Cooper of Idabel, Oklahoma; one son, Jerald Cooper of DeQueen, Arkansas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Miriam Storey and husband, Justin of Maud, Texas, Misty Hutchison and husband Chayne of DeQueen, Arkansas; five siblings, Donna and Richard McKinley, Madelyn and Gary Strang, Gary Don and Barbara Cooper, Jimmy and Sharon Cooper, David and Shana Cooper; 10 grandchildren, Jessica Jane Osterdock, Sebastian Alexander Cooper, Taylor Rae Hughes, Nicodemus Burlinchenko, Kyra Annette Lockeby, Abigail and husband Levi Gaylord, Johnathan Storey, Michael Hicks and wife Kandee, Justin Hutchinson, Garrett Hutchison and wife Megan; 7 great-grandchildren, Jakkstone Osterdock, Thoren Birch, Belame Hughes, Luna Hughes, Shaylie Cathey, Faith Rodriguez and Jagger Rodriguez; God-granddaughter, Akayla Carterby; brothers-in-law, Richard McPeak and wife, Marilyn, Dean McPeak and wife Shirley, James Williams and wife Sandy; sisters-in-law, Rhonda Vaught and husband, Coy, Kay Lamon and husband, Kenny and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Cerrogordo Cemetery with Bro. Travis Lane and Steve Taylor officiating.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2023 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
