John Farley

John Paul Farley, age 95, passed away July 18, 2025, in Idabel, Oklahoma. He was born
July 13, 1930, to John Henry Farley and Laeuna (Bloodworth) Farley.
John was preceded in death by his parents; the love of his life, Charlene Farley; his late wife,
Naomi Farley; siblings, Edith Napier, Dorothy Tipton, Mildred Sivard Tipton, Victor Farley,
Olen Farley, and Marcie Dunning; and son-in-law, James Davis.
John lived a long and joyful life filled with love, laughter, and a deep commitment to family and
community. He enjoyed golfing and fishing and took every opportunity to travel when he was
able. He also liked to deer hunt, play the guitar, and listen to music. Known for his sharp wit and
good humor, John was a natural jokester who brought smiles to those around him.
He served as president of the Lions Club and was a devoted member of Calvary Missionary
Baptist Church in Idabel for many years. Above all, he cherished his family and held them close
to his heart.
He is survived by his daughters, Susan Ranger and husband Norman of the Redland Community,
and Cheryl Goldsmith and husband Charles of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jason
Davis and wife Julie, Cyndie Milligan and husband Aaron, Scott Davis and wife April, Greg
Goldsmith and wife Alecia, John Mark Goldsmith and Amanda, and Joshua Goldsmith; great-
grandchildren, Tanner Milligan and wife Maddie, Adam Milligan and wife Gracie, Matthew
Davis and wife Laynee, Jaron Milligan, Baileigh Milligan, Ozzlyn Lightle, Cameron Davis,
Jamey Davis, Jax Goldsmith and Abby Covington; great-great-grandchildren, Melly Janae
Pingleton, Kovey Jay Pingleton; and a special friend, Clovis Whittington.
The family will receive friends from 6:00–8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Clardy
Funeral Service. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2025, at
Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Idabel. Interment will follow at Denison Cemetery.
