Johnnie Voss, 70 of Idabel, passed away July 21, 2020. He was born January 22, 1950 in America, Oklahoma.
Known by his CB handle “Easy Rider” Johnnie owned and operated Voss Trucking for numerous years. He most recently served as a jailer for the McCurtain County Sheriff’s Department.
Johnnie was always ready for visiting or a gathering, especially if there was food. He enjoyed mowing, going to the casino and fishing. He will be remembered for his joking nature, sarcasm and unfailing love for his family.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Catherine Voss of Idabel; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Lynn Bivings of Idabel; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve and Sue Voss of Idabel, Terry Voss of Valliant, Gary “Rabbit” and Judy Voss of Idabel; grandchildren, Shaylea Tolliver and husband, Donald, Kelsey Conley, CheyAnne Martin and husband, Chase, Jayden Jackson, Olivia Voss, Victoria Voss, Sarah Voss; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Voss; parents, Hershel and Louise Voss; brothers, James Voss and Kenneth Voss.
A celebration of life graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2020 at the Redland Cemetery in the Redland Community with Pastor Howard Jones officiating.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
