Judy Hill

Judy Kay Hill, 74, peacefully passed away at her Idabel residence on September 29, 2023 after a brief illness.  Judy was born to Russell Lowell Hill and Virginia Irene Hill on August 28, 1949, in Idabel.
Judy's journey began at Haworth High School, where she graduated in 1967. She later pursued higher education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University before dedicating her life and career to the community of Idabel.  
Judy was a voracious reader and loved talking about books.  She played games avidly and loved bunco and beating her brother at Spades.  She loved coffee and Dr Pepper.  While she never had children of her own, she loved all of the children in the family as if they were her own.  She was a faithful member of the Car 52 Pit Crew.  She loved to go to NASCAR races with Howard and Carol.  She loved giving personalized gifts.  She had an intense dislike of foods that were green.  She was passionate about the McCurtain County Historical Society and spent much of her time volunteering with them.  She had an unmistakable laugh and you always knew when Judy was tickled about something!
Judy is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Russell and Irene Hill, her cherished nephew Christopher Hill, and her dear sister-in-law Carol Hill.
She is survived by her brother, Howard Hill, and his wife, Janice. Judy is also lovingly remembered by her nephew Charles Hill, nephew Richard Hill, and his wife Rebecca, along with their children: Elizabeth McKitrick, Andrew Hill, John Westbrook, Claire Hill, and Genesis Hill.
Additionally, she is fondly honored by her cousin Jane Sain and her husband, Walter, and their children Kevin and his wife Rachel, and their children Kolton Sain, Karson Sain, Nate Gore and Grace Gore.  Additionally, she is lovingly remembered by Nealie Wake and her children McCain Wake and Lindee Wake. Judy is also survived by her cousins Myra Kurz, Phillip Burich, Betty Bowman, Michael Gafford, Martha Gafford, Johnny Martin and a multitude of other relatives and friends who hold her in their hearts.

 A celebration of her life will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 2, 2023 at Clardy Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 2, 2023 prior to the service.
