Kalen Capps, 58 of Idabel, passed away peacefully at her home, March 17, 2021. She was born May 1, 1962 at Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of William “Bill” and DeWanda Crain Capps.
Kalen attended the First Baptist Church in Idabel and loved her Sunday School Class. She was crafty, made everyone laugh, loved having a good time and was always the life of the party. Everyone she met was a friend, you couldn’t help but get reeled in to her convincing stories. She had a way of making people open up. She was always positive, blunt, and the most honest person, even when she didn’t need to be. She was unknowingly a teacher who taught many life lessons. She attended the University of Oklahoma and was an avid OU fan. She also loved the Dallas Cowboys.
She is survived by her aunt, Jane Sain and husband Walt; numerous cousins; two nieces; close friends, Barbara Passmore, Tara and Eric Nuber, Lisa and Tater Strawn, Andy and Bart Craytor, Caccie Steavenson, Kurt and Janine Steavenson, Joe Herndon, Billy Bob and Jeanette Wolf, Marco Flores, Paula Rodriguez, Jesus Lopez, Demetrio Villeda, Andres Castillo, Todd Sisk, her Cielito Lindo family; her “babies”, Zoe, Tate, Bryce “BB”, Jackie, Tony, Suzanne, Caroline, River, Samantha, John, Jonathan, Monse; numerous other relatives and a many more friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Dee Capps and brother, David Capps.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Joe Voyles officiating. Family and friends will gather Monday, March 22, 2021 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
