Obituary

Keith Parker passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021 at St. Michael’s Hospital, Texarkana, TX.  He was born December 27, 1948 to W.A. “Bill” and Rose Lee (Thrasher) Parker in the Marshall Hill Community in Idabel, OK.

Keith remained a resident of McCurtain County throughout his lifetime.  He thoroughly enjoyed hog, deer, and coon hunting.  Followed by a close second of fishing on Red River with good friends and family.  His true passion was horseback riding, working cows, and training his horse, Buck to cut out cows and turn on a dime. He shared that same passion with his children; teaching them to ride at an early age.  It is a love that neither child has ever forgotten and always enjoyed riding with their daddy.  He was always ready for a good game of Farkle with his grandchildren.

Keith married the love of his life, Janean Fiedler on May 24, 1970 at the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church, Pleasant Hill, OK.  They enjoyed going dancing, playing cards, and watching movies, but their greatest joy was their family.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, W.A. “Bill” and Rose Parker.

He is survived by his wife, Janean Parker; daughters, De Anna Payne, of Idabel, Jenna and Guy Buzan, Idabel, Chelsey and Michael Young, of Idabel; son, Todd Finley of Haworth; brother, James Parker, and wife, Chickie, Smithville; sister Barbara Alford, and husband, Edward, of Idabel; grandchildren, Jonathan Parker, of Paris, TX, Jessie Batson, and husband, Nick, of Rockwall, TX, Kirsten Payne, of Idabel, Shane Buzan, and wife, Erica, of Summerville, GA, Shalee Buzan of Durant, OK, Kaitlyn Buzan and Kenzie McAdoo, of Sturgis, MI, Justin Buzan, and wife, Amanda, of Magnolia, MS, Lacey Henderson, and husband, Luke, of Colorado Springs, CO, and Michael Cal Young, of Idabel; and great-grandchildren, Addyson Rose Buzan, of Sturgis, MI, Parker Lee Buzan, of Magnolia, MS, Aubree, Cambrie, Gabe, and Nolan Buzan, of Summerville, GA.
