Larry Ray Hill

Larry Ray Hill was born in the Goodwater Community on August 7, 1946, the son of Luther Edward and Ina Leona Hill.   He married Laura at the Redland Community on February 11, 1967.

Larry made his living working in the woods cutting logs.  In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.  He raised his children to hunt and fish including trot lines.   He loved all animals, especially dogs and cats but most of all he adored his grandchildren. 

Larry passed away November 27, 2023 with his family at his side.

Larry is survived by his wife, Laura; sons, Jimmy Lynn Hill and wife Chi of Maryville, Tennessee, Donnie Glynn Hill and Michael Edward Hill both of the Goodwater Community; brother, Bill Hill of the Goodwater Community; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, J.W. Hill and James Edward Hill; and daughter-in-law, Donna K. Hill.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at the Philadelphia Cemetery at Goodwater.  Interment will follow.
