Leah Michelle Snider, 53, passed away at her home in Idabel Sunday, November 7, 2021. She was born in Oklahoma City December 17, 1967 to Leon and Gail (Pollard) Snider.
Leah’s passion was music from the time she was a little girl and she was a talented singer. She sang at various events when she was a child and as a young adult. She was also an avid drummer in her 20’s.
Her hobby was collecting all kinds of rocks. She amassed quite a collection of quartz crystals from her rock hunts around Hochatown. She also painted regular rocks and had beautiful collection of them in her home. Leah loved all kinds of animals and thunder and lightning-storms.
She was a big OU fan and loved to have her girlfriends over on game day to watch and cheer with her. They would always share food together with each one preparing a dish for the occasion.
She had learned how to be a very good money manager, and was always looking for the best deal and how to budget responsibly. At the same time, she was very generous and would help anyone who needed it. Her friends said she had a heart of gold.
She is survived by her son. Colton Layne Snider and her parents, all of Idabel; one brother and sister-in-law, Jason Lee and Connie Lee Snider, nephews, Joseph Travin Snider, Jason Grant Snider, and niece, Katy Grace Snider, all of Oklahoma City.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is scheduled for Sunday, November 14, at 2:00 p.m. at Clardy Funeral Service Chapel in Idabel. Brad Snider will officiate the service.
