Lenoye Frey, 81 of Idabel, passed away February 1, 2020 at Denison, Texas. He was born November 14, 1938, the son of L.T. and Rosa Frey. Lenoye married Wilma Jean Harris on May 16, 1958 at Central Baptist Church in Idabel.
Lenoye worked with Hap Ward as the first employee of the Piggly Wiggly store at the Save-A-Lot location when he was young. He became self-employed later in life, doing tractor work for people. He retired from the city of Sherman where he was a water control technician and returned to Idabel in 1995.
He enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and deer hunting.
Lenoye is survived by his wife, Jean Frey of the home; son Ronnie Frey and wife, Reba; daughter, Angela Thompson and husband, Steve; grandsons, Adrian Frey and wife, Kinzie, Mitch Thompson and wife, Sara, and Dylan Thompson; niece, Haley Stringfellow and husband, Curtis; nephew, Adam Frey; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Harris and wife, Doris, Jerry Harris and wife, Susie, Paul Harris and wife, Cathy; cousins, Maurine Dollarhide and Bobby Gamble; special friends, Terry Campbell, Lawrence Owens, Jimmy Lambert and Bobby Carter; and numerous other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Charlotte Frey; and nephew, Jason Frey.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 2020 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Mike Durham officiating. Interment will follow in the Denison Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
