In Loving Memory of Mary Anne Baird, February 10, 1949 ~ October 15, 2023
It is with profound sorrow and a sense of immeasurable loss that we announce the passing of our
beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend Mary Anne Baird. Her radiant spirit and unwavering
faith were an inspiration to us all, and her absence leaves a void in our hearts that will never be filled.
She was a woman of extraordinary grace and boundless generosity, always extending a helping hand to
those in need. Her compassionate heart and understanding nature touched countless lives, making the
world a better place through her kindness and selflessness.
Her love for Bingo was legendary, and her mischievous streak brought joy and laughter to our lives. She
had a knack for turning ordinary moments into cherished memories like those unforgettable midnight
casino runs she loved to embark on with her daughter-in-law, Crystal Hooten. The echo of her laughter
and the warmth of her smile will forever be etched in our hearts.
A devoted wife, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Master Sargeant Charles Eugene
Baird. She now joins him, her son Chris Baird, her best friend Xera, her sister, her brother, and her
cousin whom all she adored. Her memory will continue to live on through her surviving son, Danny Gene
Baird, her grandchildren Amber, Ashley, Samuel Baird, and Tyler Hooten, her sister Jeffie, brother Harry,
and sister-in-law Margie.
She was a devout Christian, firm in her belief that this life was but a stepping stone before reuniting with
her loved ones and her Lord Jesus Christ. Her faith was unshakeable, and her spiritual strength served as
a beacon of hope for us all.
She was more than just a mother; she was a mentor, a confidante, and a friend. Her wisdom guided us,
her love nurtured us, and her spirit uplifted us. We take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace,
reunited with those she loved and lost.
As we bid her farewell, we celebrate her remarkable life and honor her legacy of love, compassion, and
generosity. Her memory will forever be a guiding light in our lives, reminding us to live with kindness, to
love unconditionally, and to cherish every moment.
Rest in peace, mama. You were loved more than words can express, and you will be missed beyond
measure.
A private inurnment will take place at a later date.
