Mary Schultz (Stacey) Pollard, 85 of Idabel, passed away December 15, 2020 at her home. She was born May 23, 1935 at Grove Hill, Alabama, the daughter of Emmette and Annetta Poole Schultz.
Mary attended Ernest Ward High School in Walnut Hill, Florida. She married and raised five children. She was a gifted cook whose doors to her home were always open for anyone ready for dinner. She was very giving and you never had to wonder what she was thinking, for she spoke what was on her mind.
She enjoyed spending holidays with her family gathered together. Her favorite was Easter. “Granny Red” as she was affectionately known by her grandchildren loved hiding Easter eggs for them to find.
Mary worked as a bookkeeper which just happened to be where she met the love of her life. On February 6, 2010 she married Doug Pollard.
Mary is survived by her husband, Doug Pollard; children, Mike Stacey and wife, Becky of Idabel, Jacque Ishcomer of Idabel, Garry Stacey and wife, Joanie of Idabel, Sheila Allison and husband, Clay of Red Oak, Texas, Lorri Citty and husband, Kenneth of Idabel, grandchildren, Shawn Stacey, Stacey Chapnick Chesher, Robby Chapnick, Jill Eastham, Justin Stacey, Stephen Allison, Chris Allison, Ryan Allison, Jason Citty, Kendall Phillips; twenty-five great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson; her beloved dog, Maddy; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Floyd Schultz.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2020 at the Pollard Cemetery in the Pollard Community with Aubrey Thompson officiating. Interment will follow.
