Maxine Meek

Clara Maxine Meek, 88 of Idabel, passed away September 12, 2022 at Idabel. She was born July 29,
1934, at Pollard Community, the daughter of C.D. and Dollie Edmondson. She was a graduate of
Haworth High School. She married Guy Meek, Jr at Dallas, Texas on June 21, 1954. She was a member
of the First Baptist Church in Idabel and had lived in the area for most of her life.
Maxine enjoyed the outdoors and growing roses in her garden. She had a big heart and would help
anyone in need. She adored her children and grandchildren and would do anything for them.
Maxine leaves to cherish her memory her children, Keith Meek and wife Sandy of Idabel, Sandra Storey
and husband, Scott of Haworth; grandchildren, Stephanie Storey, Crystal Perry and husband Trent, Scott
Stephen Storey, Amanda Reynolds and husband Jeff, Sky Storey and wife Ashlie, Randi Burkhalter and
husband Leith, Kelsie Weger and husband Jamie, Riley Carter and wife Amelia; eleven great-
grandchildren; sister-in-law, Bonnie Edmondson; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many
friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Guy Meek, Jr; two brothers, Morris Edmondson
and Tairl Edmondson; and sister, Anna Edmondson.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel with Scott Storey officiating. Interment will follow in the Canfield Cemetery.
