Maybelle Sue Armstrong, 76 of Idabel, passed away August 15, 2019 in Houston, Texas. She was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming, February 7, 1943 to Charlie and Mabel Washburn. She married Roger Dale Armstrong and they had 3 children.
Sue kept to herself and she always had a smile on her face. She was the most honest person you could meet, always sincere, kind-hearted and loving. As her hobbies, she enjoyed fishing and painting.
Sue lived for her grandchildren and loved them more than anything. They were her reason for living and for fighting her battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Roger Allen Armstrong; sisters, Peggy Hardage and Joni Jo Luzi; lifelong friend and father of her children, Roger Dale Armstrong.
Sue leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Sherrie Magby and husband Robin of Haworth, Lisa Bernas and husband Mark of Houston, Texas; grandsons, Brandon Jackson of Haworth, Cole Jackson of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Robin Magby of Haworth; granddaughters, Christine Crossin of Houston, Texas, Alexandra Bernas of Houston, Texas; great-granddaughter, Harper Jackson of Haworth; brothers, Wayne Washburn and Charlie Washburn; numerous other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at the Denison Cemetery Pavilion Monday, August 19, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making donations to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Sue’s honor, at gifts.mdanderson.org choosing cancer research for your donation.
