Morris Henderson, 80 of Idabel, passed away August 11, 2020 at his home. He was born at Eagletown, Oklahoma, the son of Clyde William and Gertrude Henderson.
Morris met and fell in love with Susie in 1969. Together, they spent the next fifty years living, loving and raising their children. While they have two girls, they have loved and cared for numerous other children along the way. Morris enjoyed hunting and fishing, country music, dancing and his family. His concern and love for Susie and the kids was his reason for living. Even in the end days of his life, he was still trying to care for his family and make sure they were going to be okay.
Morris leaves to cherish his memory his wife of fifty years, Ramona “Susie” Henderson; daughters, Marlo Edwards and husband, Charlie, Loretta Carrell and husband, Donnie; sisters, Loretta Walker, Rose Mary McClung, Tina Bly; brother, Dickie Cox; nephew, Curtis Cox; grandchildren, Sara, Billie, Monica, Braylan, Donnie, Brylee, Curtis; great-grandchildren, Alexyz, Grayson, Peyton, Temperance; numerous nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Billy Ray Henderson; granddaughter, Jessica Level.
A family reception to celebrate Mr. Henderson’s life will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2020 at his home.
